Mr. Chandra Bhushan has got global acclaim as a researcher, author; and professional in management and policy advocacy. His recent books, Rich lands poor people: Is sustainable mining possible? and Challenge of the new balance have crucially influenced the Indian policy making process related to Environment and Development.
He has Co-chaired Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), which came out with the very first internationally acceptable guidelines for triple-bottom line reporting by companies. He is currently the member of the International Research Network on Business, Development and Society.
He is a member of the board for accreditation of Environmental Impact Assessment consultants and a board member of the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training in India. He is also a member of a working group for preparing India's 12th Five-year plan.
